Individuals, Couples & Family Therapy

Seeking help through therapy is a courageous and very personal decision, and one for which I have deep respect. I am glad that you have found your way to this website, as I will introduce myself and the types of counseling I provide, in the hope that it will help you decide if I can be part of the process to assist you, your child, or your family.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, practicing since 1993, and have accumulated a breadth of professional experience working with children, adolescents, and adults through various stages of life. My approach is warm, engaging, collaborative and positive, with an initial goal of developing a trusting and supportive connection. Together, we will blend your desire for change with my experience and skills in order to create a treatment strategy that is tailored for you. I use a combination of therapeutic approaches, primarily relying on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory, and family systems theory. Regardless of the approach, I strive to create a safe space that invites honesty, insight, creativity and even humor.

Therapy can be a helpful tool that enables you to explore your inner experiences and relationships with those around you. In order to facilitate both, I offer individual, couples and family therapy, as well as parent coaching. My areas of specialty include:

  • Anxiety
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Panic
  • Depression
  • Stress management
  • Parenting
  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Adjustment to illness
  • Bereavement
  • Self-esteem
  • Family communication
  • Life transitions

If you are interested in exploring the possibility of therapy for yourself, your child, your relationship or your family, I welcome the opportunity to offer my assistance.
